Blair Kemp (b. 2002, Glasgow, Scotland) is an artist who predominantly works with lens-based media which includes; filmmaking, photography, installation and alternative print process'. Through this he likes to create social and collaborative arts projects which aim to spotlight lesser known stories and encourage wider participation in the arts.
His most recent work 'The Moon and the Yew Tree' takes inspiration from the titular poem by Sylvia Plath; hanging somewhere between documentary and fiction. The photographs evoke a sense of symbolism and metaphor, they were taken from within his family home following the death of his grandfather who had been a hoarder. He attempts to tether his home and his roots with depictions of humanity found within the wider world.
